Principal's Message

Welcome to the home of the Barge-Lincoln Bobcats.  We are a school that is always evolving, growing, and exercising young minds.  The   administration has been here for over three years and we have both veteran and new staff that will continue the great accomplishments of the past. Our staff is ready to support ALL students as they continue to develop learning habits to master rigorous standards.

Our school has over 525 students from kindergarten to fifth grade. The demographics of our school are as follows: 90% of our students are Hispanic/Latino; 5% are white; 3% of two or more races; 2% American Indian/Alaskan Native; 60% of all students are transitional bilingual, 11% of all students are migrant and most importantly, 100% of ALL Barge-Lincoln students are born to be successful!

Our staff is committed to teaching students to master rigorous standards, assisting students on Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), creating a stronger parent teacher organization (PTO), focus on reducing absenteeism, and recognizing and celebrating ALL backgrounds and abilities in our school community.

Lastly, our staff would like to thank our faith-based partnerships (Heights Church and nonprofit ARTOS), along with COSTCO with their continued support of our students with backpacks for all students, school supplies, staff meals/support, and volunteers. If you are interested in supporting our students, please stop by the office to find out how you can get involved.

If you are interested in learning more about our fabulous school, we encourage you to stop in at the office or schedule an appointment with us, the building administration.

Barge-Lincoln Elementary is a hidden gem in the east Yakima community!
